Meet Our Founder
Zelalem Mulugeta, the founder of ZEBNO, LLC, is a dedicated electrical engineer who holds an active Secret Security Clearance issued by the Department of Defense and has worked closely with NAVSEA, NAVSUP, and the U.S. Coast Guard on various high-level projects involving national defense and maritime readiness.
Following his military service, Zelalem was recognized as a service-disabled veteran, a distinction that reflects both his sacrifice and his continued commitment to excellence in the civilian workforce.
Zelalem holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Old Dominion University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from The George Washington University, where he specialized in electric power systems.
He began his engineering career at Huntington Ingalls Industries in Newport News, Virginia, immediately after graduation.

Over the years, Zelalem has held various engineering and project management roles focused on system integration within the electrical distribution systems of Ford-class aircraft carriers and Nimitz-class carrier overhauls.
He also served as a nuclear test engineer supporting overhaul projects for Los Angeles-class submarines.
In addition to his civilian engineering experience, Zelalem proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98) as a Gas Turbine Electrical System Maintenance Supervisor.
During his five years of active duty, he led maintenance and overhauls of main service generators, electrical distribution systems, switchgear, and control systems, and was honorably discharged in 2013.
